We build and run European infrastructure — and tell you the truth about it.
Argus Root is an operator, not a reseller. We run IT, email and AI infrastructure from inside the EU, with compliance built into the design and a bias toward saying what is actually true about your options.
Why we exist
Roughly two-thirds of the European cloud runs on infrastructure controlled by non-European hyperscalers. For a regulated organisation, that creates a quiet problem: the data may sit in an EU region, but the legal control over it does not. Schrems II, the US CLOUD Act and FISA 702 are not abstractions when a regulator asks who can compel access to your customers' data.
Argus Root exists to give European organisations a defensible answer. We build and operate the infrastructure that companies cannot, or should not, hand to a US-controlled platform: sovereign hosting, email deliverability, databases, managed cloud, security and AI — kept inside the Union and answerable to European law by default.
What we do
We run the systems we sell. Our email moat is real: our own sending infrastructure — PowerMTA, dedicated IP ranges, hardened MTAs — rather than a thin layer over someone else's platform. The same applies across hosting, cloud, security and AI: we operate it, monitor it, and answer for it. Where a third party is genuinely needed, we name it on our sub-processors page and bind it to the same obligations we owe you.
For the AI layer, that means open-weight models running inside the EU, with the guardrails, observability and traceability the EU AI Act expects — not an API call shipping your data to a jurisdiction you cannot govern.
How we work
Four principles hold across everything we do.
We operate what we sell
We run our own infrastructure rather than reselling a hyperscaler with a markup. When you ask where the data lives and who can compel it, we can answer without hiding behind a shared-responsibility diagram.
Compliance is a design input
GDPR, NIS2 and DORA are not clauses bolted on at the end. Residency, traceability and evidence are properties of how we build, so the obligations are met by architecture, not by paperwork after the fact.
We assess and build
Unlike a consultancy that hands over a slide deck and leaves, the people who write the assessment are the ones who will operate the result. That keeps the advice honest and grounded in what actually runs in production.
We tell you the truth
If something is outside our lane, we say so and point you elsewhere. If the right answer is not to build a thing, we say that too. We would rather lose a deal than oversell one.
Where we operate
We serve organisations across the European Union and the wider European market, with a nearshore model and EU data residency by default. Argus Root is operated by [Legal entity name], founded in 2024. Full corporate and legal details are on our Trust Centre.
Note: replace the legal entity and jurisdiction in src/data/legal.ts, and add real leadership and company facts here, before publishing.
Work with us
If you are weighing a sovereign infrastructure move, a DORA exit plan, a deliverability problem, or an AI deployment that has to stay inside the EU, talk to the people who will operate it.
